Greetings green grubbers!
Thanks to Heidi for noting LI’s Bare Naked Bakery and Cafe as well as La Semolina Pizza have vegan options

As you’ve likely heard by now Cinnamon Snail‘s food trucks are going away February 28th. Get your eat on N O W !!

In better news, glad to share Anita’s Creamline Coconut Yogurt is on the menu at all Le Pain Quotidiens! Made in Brooklyn by the way!

Hope to catch up to myself before next RoundUP so I can link you to some of the many eats I’m enjoying out in SoCal. I’m working out here for a few weeks so I can attend some events and graze a good few dozen veg spots. (Missing the rest of Winter out East is parsley on the life plate here.)

Helloooooooo New Yawk. How’s it going?

Just did a quick rewind and see RoundUPs have been coming atcha since at least June 15, 2009! (One way to use Mercury Retrogrades is by reviewing information, though Mercury is NO longer retrograde as you read this sentence.) I really appreciate your replies, and blog comments too, to the RoundUPs. They’re informative in a variety of ways. And affirm these are indeed useful public shares.

Enormous thanks to Tere, Luis, Bethany and the entire Rockin’ Raw team for welcoming NYC Vegan EatUP so greatly and deliciously Monday evening. The busy place brought some wonderful eats with their special, and early, Mardi Gras menu. Thanks to all those who joined Doug and I for this special event!

Uncertain what happened, yet can tell you we now have what I’m unofficially calling Buddha Bodai Mott (that’s been around 10 or so years, very close to Veg Dim Sum House) AND the brand new Buddha Bodai Mulberry.

Also Gingersnap’s Organic has REopened in the West Village.

Birthday shoutouts (because I remember these are near mine) to young tykes Cinnamon Snail & Terri Chelsea and the one year old *bricks & mortar* Bunna Cafe! So grateful to have each of you on the NYC scene and with such great teams to boot!!

Here is a recap of the Vegan Valentine’s Day Menus I received:

Birthed RoundUP 2/6/15 featuring FULL February array of events, Valentine’s Day menus and new NYC veg spots

IMG_6965

Well, hello there.

Was quite excited to see Mickey K. publish TWO vegan articles about “vegan super blocks” on the Upper West Side (UWS) and Upper East Side (UES). Then turned around to find a pair of L.A. Times articles noting how many all-vegan establishments are out there and that vegan fashion is doing quite well.

In not so good news, Pure Food & Wine and the One Lucky Ducks have closed. Not happy about it AT ALL, but whatcha gonna do as Ms. Vegucated would say. IF you have big bucks and want them back, reach out to them for a reboot! PLEASE! Thanks.

Back on the good news front… Was excited to try Blossom on Columbus this week. Grilled cheese was amaZING! Tiramisu was tantalizing!! F I N A L L Y met Blossom Empire co-founder and co-owner of Pamela! She let us know that two more Blossom Du Jours are in the works for Spring under Columbus Circle, and come Summer in Chelsea Market. There is a top secret upscale something in rapid development – more on that when I know and can say more. Chef Guy of Beyond Sushi told me their new Midtown will offer special multi-course dinners at least monthly starting Very Soon! So we too are growing in numbers, don’t fret that L.A. is the only one. Now noting aloud leaving the (home) office in cold weather can be a good thing (laughter). OH WAIT. I almost forgot the BIG announcement of the week – cupcake champion Chef Chloe Coscarelli has a West Village cafe-style spot coming this Summer!

Please know Wild Ginger Williamsburg is moving, NOT closed closed.

Here are the Vegan Valentine’s Day Menus I’ve received so far:

Bunna Cafe

Candle Cafe (East)

Candle Cafe West

Candle 79

Monk’s Meats (takeaway)

Organic Grill

Quintessence

Happy to add any updates received to this blog post as I’m uncertain about a new RoundUP coming before this special day. Besides reservations need to be made yesterday, or N O W otherwise.
