*Our original vegan ice cream shop is vegan NYC’s crown jewel
**Because they’re not permanent spots or available most of the time, I’ve left off the many great Vegan Shop-Up and Smorgasburg vendors, like the ascendant Chickpea & Olive and terrific Regal Vegan

Pleasing RoundUP 6/18/15 – Taco Bar, Tuesday ebooks sale, OHH Pride Party

Congrats to V Spot Organic for reaching their Kickstarter goal. Stay tuned for their official “hard” opening in their great new location (12 St Marks Place)!

Don’t forget GustOrganics NEEDS support to rebuild their clientele to compassionate vegan(-friendly) types versus the very angry paleo posses they used to serve. To entice you further, here’s a special deal they’re running.

Sounds like by CHLOE is hiring NOW and opening in just a few weeks 🙂 And they’ll be serving alcohol!

Was happy to read Whole Foods Bowery has a new taco bar on their 2nd floor that’s vegan-friendly, including house-made chimichurri seitan.

This Tuesday only, a good 10 or more vegan ebooks will be on sale for only $0.99. Check ’em out and boost those numbers UP UP UP. Good for them, good for you, and good for the animals!

Next Friday, I’m excited to join the awesome twosome that is Our Hen House at a very special Pride Party fundraiser handsomely hosted by the Vegan Mos. These husbands are emerging bloggers, incredible bakers and chefs, plus future cookbook authors. Hope to see a good few of you there!

REPEAT DISCLAIMER: I know a good many things about NYC’s vegan scene, yet rely on your intel, crowdspotting, and all the rest for these missives I share.

Launching RoundUP 6/11/15 – please crowdfund V Spot Organic & go to GustOrganics

Turnip cakes from Buddha Bodai Mulberry’s ALL DAY dim sum menu

DISCLAIMER: I know a good many things about NYC’s vegan scene, yet rely on your intel, crowdspotting, and all the rest for these missives I share.

Enjoyed lunching at the new Buddha Bodai (77 Mulberry) this week. Was glad to see a very familiar face in David running things. As well, the decor has far more character, color and energy than the old (though still running) 5 Mott spot. Worth noting Mulberry is very very close to the NQR Canal Stop, and they offer 25 different lunch specials for $7.50 (including rice and appetizer/soup). What a list to work through over 2-4 seasons!

Repeat request for you each to check out the V Spot Organic and Cake Thieves crowdfunding campaigns. You can stop by V Spot Organic to get grab and go items made by them and/or The Squeeze in their pre-soft opening phase. Get the quinoa salad if you do!

Also be sure to get over to GustOrganics! They NEED our support as they rebuild their clientele to vegan(-friendly) customers. Their touted brunch menu looks great, and has some great deals. Likewise with the lunch menu I recently enjoyed. To entice you further, here’s a special deal they’re running.

Stunned to hear Austin TX had jambalaya on a stick. AND it was vegan to boot!

Wiped out here from a flurry of creative communications today, charged communications otherwise after tacos galore and plenty more in Austin TX and Vida Vegan Con 3.

Pommes Frites open in Greenwich Village (with lotsa seating!)

New vegan falafel shop open in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Support Cake Thieves’ crowdfunding campaign for its first storefront! (I say first because all these vegan businesses keep multiply the locations, and good for them, the animals and us eaters!)

Check out this pro-animal, and vegan, Times Square billboard up through June 28th

If you are over on Governor’s Island, keep an eye out for the all vegan Alchemy Creamery. Do let me know about any other specifically vegan eats you find there… I’m told there are a good few this year.
